Yasmani Grandal launched a solo shot directly at the picture of his face on the scoreboard

Yasmani Grandal stood at the plate during the fourth inning on Thursday night as the Dodgers led, 3-1 (though the Phillies would ultimately prevail, 5-4). Justin Turner had homered for L.A. in the first inning, and Grandal was one short of 20 on the season. It was the perfect time to send one out of the ballpark. He just needed the right place to aim for.
And so, Grandal launched his solo shot directly at his own face.

Now, we're pretty sure the purpose of showing players' pictures on the scoreboard is to inform the fans in attendance of the player at bat, and not to provide the batter a giant illuminated target. But hey -- whatever works, right?
