Jose Bautista kept the Dominican Republic alive with a laser beam to home plate

Less than 24 hours ago, the Dominican Republic trailed Team U.S.A., 5-0, heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. One flurry of dingers later, they were celebrating a huge 7-5 win
So, when Colombia put the winning run on third base with just one out in the bottom of the ninth on Sunday, the Dominicans didn't panic. They'd been here before. And, when you have literally dozens of All-Star appearances in your starting lineup, there's a good chance someone will come up big. In this case, though, it wasn't a dinger -- it was an unbelievable throw from José Bautista:

As you might imagine, the only thing more awe-inspiring than Bautista's cannon is the Spanish-language call of Bautista's cannon:

Clearly, he was inspired by playing for his country:

After Bautista saved the game, his teammates made sure it wouldn't go to waste. The DR put up a seven-spot in the top of the 11th, and clinched Pool C with a 10-3 win.
