Whit Merrifield is no stranger to swiping bags. He has 30 stolen bases this season -- including one on Saturday during the Royals-Indians matchup that'll leave you impressed.
During the top of the third inning with Carlos Carrasco on the mound, Lorenzo Cain was at the plate while Merrifield took off for second. Carrasco tried to catch him in the act, but Merrifield had a swift swim move to avoid the attempted tag from Gio Urshela. Not only was Merrifield able to slide past the tag, he brought his right foot on to second base to make sure he stayed on the bag safely.
Hold on to your precious bases my friends, Merrifield is coming in hot to take them away … with style of course.
