For the first time ever, you can watch Ted Williams' final game in color

Ted Williams homered in his final Major League at-bat. Of course he did. How else could the greatest pure hitter of all-time finish his career in any other way?
Unfortunately, for 58 years, we've only seen that final game in newsreel-style black-and-white footage.
That's all changing. Thanks to an upcoming American Masters PBS documentary, "Ted Williams: The Greatest Hitter Who Ever Lived," and a then-19-year-old art student named Bill Murphy, we have color footage of Williams' final game.
"Every three to eight months, I would wake up at 3 a.m. in the morning thinking about the Ted Williams film," Murphy told The New York Times. "I'd say to myself, 'Geez, this thing is sitting there anonymously.'"
Well, now it's out of the drawer now and you can see a clip of it in the video atop the post. For more, tune in to American Masters -- "Ted Williams: The Greatest Hitter Who Ever Lived." It premieres Monday, July 23 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings).
