Elvis Andrus unveiled a Derek Jeter-esque jump throw in Game 1 of the ALDS

You could be forgiven if you had to rub your eyes and blink because you thought you saw Derek Jeter during the Blue Jays' 10-1 victory over the Rangers in Game 1 of the ALDS on Thursday. That's because Elvis Andrus made quite the Jeter-esque jump throw in the top of the second to just get Kevin Pillar at first base and end the inning.
Unfortunately for Andrus, the errors that plagued him during Toronto's seventh-inning comeback in the infamous Game 5 of last year's ALDS seemed to come back this year. In the fourth inning, Andrus made a throwing error that enabled Devon Travis to get on base, eventually coming home to score on a Josh Donaldson single later in the inning.
Tune in for Game 2 on TBS/SNET at 1 p.m. ET on Friday.
