Vin Scully called the Madison Bumgarner-Yasiel Puig dust-up as only he could: perfectly

On Monday night, the Giants and Dodgers opened up a crucial three-game set in Los Angeles. As expected, the game definitely lived up to the hype, Madison Bumgarner and Clayton Kershaw dueling until the Dodgers pulled out a come-from-behind 2-1 win that wasn't without some Major League drama.
In the seventh inning, an exchange between Bumgarner and Yasiel Puig led to a benches-clearing incident around the first-base bag. Remember, it's September and emotions are high. Postseason positions are at stake, after all.
It led to a scene that looked like this:

A few pretty great photos came from the scuffle:

Up in the SportsNet LA booth, Vin Scully explained the situation as only he could.
As seen atop this post, his relaying of the events that transpired were on a level all his own, the type of call that we've all come to love from the legendary announcer throughout the course of his 67-year career at the microphone.
This was perhaps our final Bumgarner-Kershaw tilt with Scully at the mic, unless they match up in San Francisco next weekend. Considering all that went down at Chavez Ravine on Monday, it'd be a pretty solid send-off for a historically fun heavyweight battle.
But still ... the thought of Vin retiring soon has us all feeling like this conflicted young fan at the Stadium on Monday nonetheless:
