Jerry Blevins got ready for Wednesday's Braves-Mets game with some pregame catch with a fan

Before Wednesday's Braves-Mets matchup, which will go down in history as The Return of Bartolo Colon, one young fan starred in a moment that he'll likely remember for a long time (even though Colon was not involved).
Mets pitcher Jerry Blevins spotted the fan beyond the bullpen wall and, as players are sometimeswont to do, started a game of catch:

While you might think Blevins did this just to create a memory for the fan, clearly, he was just angling for some extra practice. And guess what? That extra practice ultimately paid off.
Hansel Robles got the Mets off to a rocky start to the seventh inning, allowing a triple, a walk, a double and a hit batsman -- giving up one run in the process. Manager Terry Collins then turned to Blevins with the bases loaded, hoping to limit the damage. 
Blevins responded by striking out Emilio Bonafacio and inducing a groundout from Ender Inciarte to end the inning and keep the game knotted at 1-1. His effort wasn't enough, though, as the Braves won in extras, 3-1. But still, it seems that pregame catch made all the difference.
