Yesterday, the rosters for the 2017 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game were released, giving prospect enthusiasts 50 exciting Minor Leaguers to look forward to seeing on the big stage during All-Star Week. Both the USA and World teams are absolutely stacked, with 27 of MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects included on the rosters. You'll be able to see that parade of young talent at Marlins Park on July 9 for All-Star Sunday by tuning in to MLB Network or MLB.com at 4 p.m.
While there's reason to get excited about every player on the roster, a few stood out as being especially notable to us. Some are notable for their excellent performance, but many also have very unique backgrounds. A shortstop from the Bahamas who has the same name as Batman character? Check. A 19-year-old who is hitting nearly .400? Check. A Brazilian who can touch 103 mph? You bet. Check out the video above to hear more about these fascinating Futures Gamers.
