It took 10 innings, a rain delay and one of the baseball-iest games ever, but the Cubs won Game 7 of the World Series, 8-7, and took home their first. championship. in. 108. years. So, they celebrated like it:
The celebrations began in the top of the 10th, when eventual World Series MVP Ben Zobrist doubled to left field, scoring Albert Almora Jr. and giving the Cubs the lead:
Anthony Rizzo, standing at third base, couldn't believe what was happening.
Then Miguel Montero singled in Rizzo, giving the Cubs a two-run cushion, and the entire team went bonkers:
