The Astros made a trade on Sunday to acquire veteran reliever Tyler Clippard from the White Sox. And there was a lot that happened during the acquisition ...
For starters, the deal was announced via Clippard himself. He updated the bio section of his Twitter and Instagram accounts to say he was playing for the Houston Astros. And since this occurred on a Sunday, Clippard was forced to miss part of his (and everyone else's) favorite show, Game of Thrones.
Yes, we all sympathize with him, but it gets worse.
He missed a significant chunk of the episode, and has yet to complete it. So, if you happen to be around him, try not to spoil it. Let's just hope he didn't miss Noah Syndergaard's cameo in the HBO hit series.
