Trea Turner's juggling catch on Saturday was the perfect circus audition tape

One of the reasons that the Nationals cruised to the NL East crown was the all-around terrific play of Trea Turner. He's set a Nationals record for most stolen bases in a season, reached double-digit homers in just 90 games and looked sharp at shortstop in his first full Major League season at the position.
Turner put his defense on display during Saturday night's 4-3 triumph over the Mets. In the bottom of the fourth, Norichika Aoki hit a soft liner toward the middle of the diamond. Turner quickly reached it with the tip of his glove, juggled it ...

... and pulled down an acrobatic catch that would make P.T. Barnum smile.
For Turner's next act, he'll probably follow the old song lyric and "float through the air with the greatest of ease." He's done it before, anyway.
