Trayce Thompson gave it his best effort. Nick Castellanos had connected for a three-run homer to put the Tigers in front of the White Sox early during Detroit's 7-5 victory on Saturday. It wasn't a guarantee that the drive would sail over the wall though, so Thompson used his cleats to jump to the top of the right-field fence.
Bad news? The ball was out of reach.
Worse news? His foot got stuck in the fence:
Unfortunate.
A right fielder in trouble means one thing: Center fielder to the rescue!
With an "outfield assist" from Adam Engel, Thompson was able to untangle his foot from the fence. That's what being a good teammate is all about.
