Auburn legend Tim Hudson is headed back to campus to finish his degree

Tim Hudson accomplished a whole lot during his time at Auburn. In his senior year alone, he hit .396 with 18 homers ... while going 15-2 with a 2.97 ERA on the mound and taking home SEC Player of the Year honors. But there's one box that remains unchecked, all these years later: Hudson never did get his degree.

Granted, there was a good reason for that: The righty only spent two years on The Plains before getting drafted in the sixth round of the 1997 MLB Draft by the Oakland A's. Still, a college degree is important, so Hudson is taking time out of his goat-filled retirement to head back to school.

Hudson is pursuing a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on "philanthropy and health promotion." Of course, a lot has changed in the more than two decades since he was a student -- his daughter had to help him figure out what this whole PowerPoint thing was about.
