The Tigers gave a young fan a day to remember thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation

Eighteen-year-old Kyle Van Houten is a big Tigers fan -- so what happened to him at Comerica Park on Friday night is something he and his family won't ever forget.
Through the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Van Houten had the once-in-a-lifetime chance to take the field with some of his favorite players, throw a ceremonial first pitch and be honored before the Tigers' 3-2 win over the Royals.

As part of his amazing afternoon, Van Houten, who is battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, was gifted some tickets to the All-Star Game this summer, something he wasn't expecting as the night unfolded.
"It definitely makes it worth it, all the struggles I've had to go through, to have moments like this," Van Houten told MLB.com's Jason Beck.
Just a tremendous day all around.
