In a rare tribute, Tuesday's New York Times crossword puzzle was all about the Cubs
Even though they're the Chicago Cubs, the 2016 World Series winners have been celebrated by many New York Institutions, from the New York Stock Exchange to "SNL." But it wasn't until Tuesday that they got the ultimate tribute (well, at least for word nerds everywhere): a Cubs-themed New York Times crossword.
Usually, a themed puzzle will only include a handful of long "across" clues, and two long "down" clues, but not this one. There are 11 Cubs-specific clues, and even more that relate to baseball in general. Take a look at who gets a shout out:
