Here's how the Dodgers stack up against the best teams in MLB history

Last week, the Dodgers became the sixth team since 1913 to reach 90 wins in their first 126 games. After Players Weekend, they sat at 91-38. After a few more losses during the week they head into Friday 91-41 -- a mere 50 games over the .500 mark and well positioned for a spot in the postseason.
Given their heightened level of play this season, how do they compare to the best teams in history? Click the graphic to enlarge.

Record: 116-36 (152 games)
Winning percentage: .763
What the Dodgers need to do: If the Dodgers want to hit 116 wins this year, they'll have to go 25-5 for the rest of the season. But, since this year's Dodgers are playing 162 games, they wouldn't have been able to make it to exactly .763. They only could have reached .765, but that would have only been possible with a truly incredible 124-38 regular-season record. With only 30 regular-season games remaining, that is now out of reach for Los Angeles.
Just a heads up -- no team has ever won more than 116 games.
Record: 116-46
Winning percentage: .716
What the Dodgers need to do: Match the '01 Mariners' record exactly. That means they're only allowed 5 more losses in 30 games.
Record: 114-48
Winning percentage: .704
What the Dodgers need to do: To win 114 this year, the Dodgers will have to go 23-7 for the rest of the season.
Record: 111-43 (154 games)
Winning percentage: .721
What the Dodgers need to do: To win as many games as the '54 Indians, L.A. will have to go 20-10 for the rest of the season. To exceed their .721 winning percentage, the Dodgers will have to go 26-4 for a .722 mark.
Record: 110-42 (152 games)
Winning percentage: .724
What the Dodgers need to do: To hit 110 wins on the season, the Dodgers will need to go 19-11 for the rest of the year. But they would need a .728 winning percentage to top the '09 Pirates' mark, which means finishing 118-44, or 27-3 for the rest of the season.
Record: 110-44 (154 games)
Winning percentage: .714
What the Dodgers need to do: Like the 1909 Pirates, the '27 Yankees won 110 games. But the closest the Dodgers can get to the '27 Yankees' winning percentage in a 162-game season is a 116-46 season like the 2001 Mariners. As you can see above, that means they'd have to go 25-5 for the rest of the season.
