The Cubs wore Stoneman Douglas T-shirts during warmups in Miami on Opening Day

For the first day of Spring Training, players across baseball wore Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School caps in honor of the 17 students and faculty that lost their lives during the Feb. 14 shooting.
For their Opening Day game in Miami against the Marlins -- just a short drive down I-95 from Parkland, Fla. -- the Cubs followed in that tradition by wearing Stoneman Douglas T-shirts for batting practice:

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo is a 2007 graduate of Stoneman Douglas High School, so his thoughts were obviously with his alma mater:

Rizzo also attended a game at his old high school earlier in the week, reporting that his team played well in a 15-0 victory.
