Each October, the MLB postseason belongs to someone or something. Whether it's the Rally Monkey in 2002, Daniel Murphy in 2015 or David Ross last year, October is always dominated by a particular force. With so much good baseball packed into one month, it's sometimes tough to follow all the madness, so we created the Baseball October Arbitrary Rankings Device (The B.O.A.R.D.) to keep track of it all.
After a weekend of non-stop baseball action, close games and clutch performances, there are a ton of worthy candidates for The B.O.A.R.D.
Between Carlos Correa's timely RBIs, Addison Russell's impressive power, Verlander's indomitable outing, the depth of the Yankees and Dodgers bullpens, Puig's general merriment and Justin Turner's magical beard, it was hard to narrow the B.O.A.R.D. down to just five candidates.
