Futures Game MVP Taylor Trammell thought he hit his second home run of the game, but he didn't

The 2018 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game ended with the U.S. defeating the World, 10-6, in Washington. MVP honors went to Reds No. 3 prospect Taylor Trammell. His postgame interview with MLB Network's Lauren Shehadi showed the world just how humble the outfielder is, but it was a moment during the game that more than likely added to his modest ways.
In the bottom of the eighth, Trammell hit a home run to right field -- only it wasn't a home run. As he rounded first base, he held up two fingers, anticipating this to be his second homer of the game. But instead, the ball bounced off the center-field wall. Trammell would have to settle for a triple:
When he finally made his way back to the dugout, he was on the other end of a few comments and laughs from his teammates. And Trammell's response?
"That's probably the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me," he said. "My mom is going to kill me."
I think his mom might let this one go.
Trammell also said he will probably be getting a lot of text messages about what happened -- I'm sure he will.
