Steve Kerr once threw a gem at Dodger Stadium -- until Bret Saberhagen's team dropped eight runs on him

Warriors coach Steve Kerr has a knack for entertaining, whether on the court or off it.
In addition to an envy-inspiring run as an NBA player (winning five NBA Finals, three with Michael Jordan and the Bulls and two with the Spurs), he's been a color analyst -- not to mention his current run with the Warriors, with whom he's won two NBA titles since 2014.
During his high school years, he played baseball. And during a media session with reporters on Thursday as the Warriors await their playoff series with the Pelicans, Kerr told sportswriter/friend Mike Silver about the time he pitched against Bret Saberhagen's team during a city championship game at Dodger Stadium.
It started out well, as he held the opposition scoreless for 4 2/3 innings ... but then everything unraveled. As he told it:

In fairness, pretty impressive to nearly throw five shutout innings in a playoff baseball game. Those eight unearned runs, though ...
We have to wonder if Bret remembers that fateful fifth inning.
