The Royals began to run off the field after a double play ... even though there were only two outs

Wednesday night went well for the Royals, who built a 9-0 lead after two innings and held on for an 11-8 victory at home over the Twins. They were coasting so much in the fifth inning that they were ready to run off the field before they were actually supposed to do so.
Rookie Trevor Oaks was on in relief, and the Twins had Eddie Rosario on first base after a single. Miguel Sanó then hit a bouncer to third baseman Mike Moustakas, who wheeled around to start a 5-4-3 double play. It required some acrobatics to pull off, so the Kauffman Stadium crowd was into it as the Royals walked off the field.
The only problem? They still had one more out to finish the inning. Whoops.

Moustakas led the sheepish crew back to their positions as they laughed it off, and then finished out the inning.
No harm, no foul.
