The Royals and Tigers made nifty flips to first base on back-to-back days against each other

The Tigers were clinging to a 2-0 lead early on Sunday afternoon against the Royals when they turned to some slick glovework to get out of the third inning. Drew Butera was on second base and Cheslor Cuthbert was the tying run at the plate, but Francisco Liriano managed to get Cuthbert to bounce one to the right side.
Miguel Cabrera hustled over from first base to field the grounder, and made a glove-flip to Liriano, who caught the ball barehanded for the out:

It was a nice play, but the crazy part is that the Royals made a nearly identical one the previous day. Playing the roles of Cabrera and Liriano were Lucas Duda and Danny Duffy:

We're seeing double. Almost everything is the same, with the first baseman making a glove flip to the left-handed pitcher, who makes the catch with his opposite hand before beating the runner in a footrace to the bag.
Uncanny.
