Rich Hill tried everything -- and we mean everything -- to heal the blister on his left hand

Since coming over from the Athletics at the non-waiver Trade Deadline, Rich Hill has been a critical piece of the Dodgers' rotation -- he's made six starts with a sparkling 1.83 ERA and 39 K's in 34 1/3 innings. There's been just one problem: a pesky and painful blister on Hill's pitching hand. It's already cost him a few starts this season, and was the reason manager Dave Roberts felt compelled to take Hill out of the game after seven perfect innings against Miami back in September.
So, to get back on the mound, Hill was determined to try anything to remedy it. And as he explained prior to his start against the Nationals in NLDS Game 2 on Saturday, that means anything -- up to and including, uh, urine.
"You know, you pee on it," Hill told reporters, in an interview you can watch at the top of the post. "You might as well try it, right? I was desperate to do anything at that time." 
Some other options Hill explored? Soaking his hand in vinegar, at the suggestion of Vin Scully's wife Sandy. Alas, it was only after the fact that Hill learned the truth -- he had to mix the vinegar with water and drink it.
