Rhys Hoskins brought his dog to Spring Training, and it was everything he dreamed it would be

Wednesday was #LoveYourPetDay on social media, so Rhys Hoskins found the perfect way to celebrate his beloved dog, Rookie (not to be confused with the equally good boys of David Dahl and the Trenton Thunder).
Rookie has watched his dad mash on TV in the Home Run Derby before, but on Wednesday, he got to see the real thing. He was the guest of honor at the Phillies' Spring Training facility in Clearwater, Fla. Hoskins later posted a photo and a video on Instagram of the wonderful pup playing catch with a baseball:

A+ hustle by Rookie on that run.
It was a thrilling experience for Rookie, and the Phillies were obviously delighted to have him.

Given all the excitement, Rookie needed a deserved snoozle with dad afterward.

Rookie is out here just living the dream.
