You don't think about it too much, but it's funny how baseball dugouts and bullpens still communicate via telephone. Why not cell phones? Why not texts? Why not drones?
Well, during the Red Sox's 3-1 loss to the Phillies on Tuesday night, Boston's landlines stopped working. Manager Alex Cora could NOT communicate with his bullpen coach to get the correct reliever warming up. Phones, hand signals, sunflower-seed throws ... nothing.
