When you forget to bring your baseball glove to the ballpark, it's always important to remember that your cap can serve as an emergency catching device. That apparently also applies to Major League relievers.
In the second inning of the Cubs' game against the Rangers on Sunday, Kyle Schwarber crushed a pitch from righty Lance Lynn to deep left-center. The ball soared over the wall, where Chicago's relievers were perched on an elevated bench taking in the game. As the baseball began its descent, Cubs lefty Randy Rosario remained cool, calm and collected, even without his glove handy.
Rosario casually removed his hat, held it out and snared the baseball after it cleared the fence. Who says there aren't hat tricks in baseball?
