Pudge drops foul ball

Ivan Rodriguez, perhaps you've heard of him: The 2017 Hall of Fame catcher, 14-time All-Star and 1999 American League MVP -- just to name a few of his accomplishments over his 21-year career. Well, on Friday he was just a dad whose son was on the mound, and the two shared a fun moment.
During the Rangers-Giants game, Dereck Rodríguez, Pudge's son, took the mound for San Francisco. His dad, with a big smile on his face, watched as Dereck cruised through six innings. And in the top of the sixth inning, a foul ball landed within reach of the 13-time Gold Glove Award winner -- and, well, he didn't get his paws on it. But you better believe Dereck saw what had happened in the stands and made sure he gave his dad a laugh:

All in good fun, of course.
"In his defense, he didn't have a glove," Dereck told MLB.com's Chris Haft. "So I'm going to let it slide."
