With the acquisition of Derek Norris, the Nats have given Jayson Werth a worthy beard competitor

For years, Jayson Werth has been the lone caveman-like bearded National. Last year, Bryce Harper grew out a sculpted beard and Daniel Murphy often enjoys going a few days without a shave, but no one was going to challenge Werth for title of Largest Beard on the team.
That just changed on Friday afternoon when the Nationals sent pitching prospect Pedro Avila to the Padres in exchange for catcher/style inspiration for Mark-Paul Gosselaar on "Pitch," Derek Norris.
It makes plenty of sense without even considering the facial hair aspect: Not only do the Nationals have a need at catcher now that Wilson Ramos is a free agent, but the team had originally drafted Norris before trading him as a part of a package for Gio Gonzalez.
Of course, beyond Werth and Norris squaring off in epic beard fights, the team can begin constructing a Voltron of beards. For when you combine the powers of Werth and Norris, this is likely what you get. Just imagine what kind of home run totals this monster could put up:
