On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we celebrate the legacy of one of the most prominent figures of the civil rights movement and his innumerable contributions to society.
But, as the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum reminds us, King was also a lover of baseball:
You can tell that King's daugher, Yolanda, was contemplating how to pitch against her father. Doug Glanville was ready with a scouting report detailing how he would approach the civil rights icon:
We may never know whether Yolanda adopted an approach like the one Glanville advocated, but at least we have this photo of the Kings enjoying a casual game of baseball.
