Kyle Freeland's baby photo proves that his Rockies debut was destiny

He's the hometown kid made good. Anytime a player is drafted by their local club, it's exciting. When Rockies rookie starter Kyle Freeland was selected by eighth overall in the 2014 Draft, it was so much more than that (He's in the black shirt on the couch):

Turns out, the Denver native wasn't just a fan of the local ballclub. It was fated at birth. Long before he took the mound against the Dodgers in his Major League debut on Friday, Freeland was dressed in an "xtra xtra small" Rockies onesie:

There's a lesson in here for you parents: Want your child to succeed in life? Dress them in baseball team gear from an early age. At least, I think that's the lesson.
Seems to have worked out. Not only did Freeland pitch well against the Dodgers (6 IP, 1 R, 6 Ks), but he even collected his first big league hit, too.
