In recent years, the bullpen catch has been transformed from a novelty into an art form. Some rely on perfect positioning. Some don't even need a glove. At this point, we're pretty sure Robbie Ross' hat is just an extension of his hand.
On Tuesday night, another bullpen resident joined this heroic fraternity. When Maikel Franco launched a go-ahead homer in the seventh inning of Philly's game against the Mariners, reliever Luis García took a few steps to his left, took off his hat and went for glory:
