The Phillies nearly began the top of the fifth inning without a left fielder

The Phillies took the field for the top of the fifth inning on Saturday leading the Braves, 6-4. Prized free-agent acquisition Carlos Santana had hit his first home run of the spring. Still plenty of time to give the young guys some experience. Everything was going according to plan.
There was just one problem: Someone forgot to go play left field.

That's right fielder Collin Cowgill trying to direct the dugout's attention to the huge and unoccupied swath of grass. Philly eventually found an outfielder -- Andrew Pullin was the lucky substitute -- and went on to win the game, 10-6. Which leaves just one question unanswered: Communication breakdown, or an unintended glimpse at the hottest new defensive shift?
