As far as mascots go, the Phillie Phanatic is in a class all his own. His antics are legendary, his crew formidable, and his generosity is unmatched -- as long as you're wearing Phillies regalia.
Early on in the Phillies' 5-4, 14-inning win over the Giants at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday night, this became all too real for one kid in a Giants cap and shirt. The young man extended his hand excitedly, hoping for a high-five from the Phanatic as the fuzzy green icon did his thing atop the dugout. Of course, considering San Francisco was up, 4-0, at that point in the game, the kid could have just pointed to the scoreboard as a retort ... but now he has a good game plan should he find himself in this situation again.
