Noel Cuevas had a great outing at the plate on Monday. The rookie outfielder went 3-for-4 in the Cubs' 3-2 win over the Rockies, but his team wanted him to remain humble. So what did the Rockies have him do the next day? Well, they had him fetch some coffee across the street with Cuevas decked out in his full uniform.
During the Rockies' 11-2 win over the Cubs, the Colorado broadcast told the story of Cuevas' adventure to order 27 drinks (and an additional doughnut and cake pop) for the team:
This totaled $111.55, which was cheaper than he was expecting and he didn't have to wait in line -- how lucky is that?
The staff was also thrilled Cuevas stopped by and even requested a photo with him. That might be one of the easiest coffee runs to date.
