Noah Syndergaard eloquently summed up the pain of playoff elimination in just 140 characters

During Wednesday night's National League Wild Card Game, Noah Syndergaard put on an absolutely tremendous pitching master class. He held the Giants scoreless through seven innings and struck out 10 while allowing just two measly hits. Everything was going beautifully for him, except for one thing: His opponent was equally dominant.
Syndergaard and Madison Bumgarner traded zeroes on the scoreboard back and forth all night. However, Syndergaard was lifted after seven strong and watched helplessly from the dugout as Conor Gillaspie hit a three-run home run off Mets closer Jeurys Familia in the ninth inning, and then again as Bumgarner closed out the 3-0 win for the Giants with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
As if Syndergaard hadn't already done enough on the evening, he then took to Twitter and flawlessly described the emotions he and every Mets fan were experiencing:
