In the third inning of the Dodgers' 6-4 win over the Giants in Los Angeles Friday night, Dodgers left-hander Alex Wood wanted to lay down a bunt. He hit it foul, but catcher Nick Hundley couldn't corral the short popup and it fell to the ground for a strike.
Young ballplayers out there, take note of the following: Hundley didn't let that short-term failure get him down. In fact, on the very next pitch Wood tried a bunt again -- and Hundley perservered, catching it after a few seconds of bobbling. His reaction? Relief:
