New Red Sox manager Alex Cora hit a Fenway Park homer assisted over the short wall by Alex Rios

On Sunday, the Red Sox officially announced that they'd agreed with Alex Cora on a three-year deal to be their new manager: 

Cora, currently the Astros' bench coach, will be returning to the organization with which he spent four seasons of his 14-year career -- he was a role player for Boston from 2005-09. 
Anybody who takes in a game at Fenway Park, or even just watches one on TV, knows about its quirks -- whether the Green Monster in left field, the deep center field area or the short wall/Pesky's Pole situation in right field. And Cora's no stranger to this, considering he broke a 245 at-bat homer-less drought in 2006 with a fly ball that Blue Jays outfielder Alex Rios couldn't quite corral, sending it bouncing and tumbling over the fence: 

Cora was also a part of a classic moment for the Red Sox, squeezing the final out as Boston clinched a postseason berth in 2008:

Now, he'll set his sights on making more memories for the organization as its new skipper.
