Nelson Cruz's 493-foot monster homer in Minnesota is Statcast's second-longest of 2016

Nelson Cruz is a strong man -- so strong, in fact, that he can hit homers when breaking his bat.
He proved his power yet again on Saturday night, connecting on a pitch in the Mariners' 3-2 loss to the Twins at Target Field and depositing it deep into the left-field seats.
His #Boomstick helped Cruz earn a spot as the second-longest
Statcast™-rated homer of the 2016 season, coming up just shy of Giancarlo Stanton's 504-foot rainmaker in August.
It was also the third-longest rocket of the Statcast™ era, trailing Stanton and Kris Bryant (whose 495-foot blast off the Wrigley Field scoreboard was something to behold).
Back to Cruz's moonshot, it was the longest homer tracked at Target Field to date. Seriously:
Despite Seattle's loss in the game, manager Scott Servais raved about the homer to MLB.com's Greg Johns after the game:
"That's about as far as you can hit it in this park. He absolutely killed it."
Not bad, Nelson.
