'Million Dollar Arm' pitcher Rinku Singh has signed with the WWE Performance Center

Rinku Singh, one of the two pitchers who earned Minor League contracts with the Pirates as a result of the Million Dollar Arm reality competition in India, has signed with the WWE and will begin his full-time training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-3, 256-pound left-hander earned a contract with the WWE in much the same way he earned one with the Pirates. In April, he impressed coaches at an invitation-only tryout of 40 athletes from India and the Middle East in Dubai.
Singh was with the Pirates from 2009 through 2016. Across five Minor League seasons, he had a 2.97 ERA over 148 1/3 innings, all out of the bullpen. He stepped away from baseball in 2016 due to injuries.
Prior to his baseball career, Singh was a junior national medalist in the javelin. He converted to baseball after winning the Million Dollar Arm contest by throwing 87 mph. After already changing sports once, Singh is certainly no stranger to the process.
