C.J. Cron homered twice in one game, so Mike Trout got him Suns season tickets

On Tuesday, the Angels defeated the A's, 8-2, aided in no small part by C.J. Cron. The Angels first baseman homered twice - a three-run shot in the first inning and a solo in the eighth. But why, you may be wondering, was a guy who had hit just 10 home runs prior to Tuesday's game motivated enough to hit two?
Well, the Angels are only one game back in the AL Wild Card race, and as Cron said to MLB.com's Maria Guardado after the game, "I think we all are trying to do our job to help the team win ballgames. My job is to drive in runs and put a charge into balls."
But … there might have been a teeny additional incentive.
It turns out that Mike Trout promised he'd buy him season tickets for his favorite NBA team if he dingered twice:
"I'll be going to all the games," Cron said. "I'm pretty pumped about it. That's why the big smile, and everyone was cheering. I'm going to hold him to his word."
It's safe to say Trout is on board. At least for that 76ers game:
