The Mets hosted the Marlins on Friday night to kick off their final series in 2018 at Citi Field. Fans flocked to the ballpark to not only see captain David Wright's first appearance in over two years, but also to bid farewell to the 2018 Mets.
A small group of young Mets fans got to experience another bonus, as they stopped by the SNY broadcast booth to say hello to announcers Keith Hernandez, Ron Darling and Gary Cohen. More importantly, they got to sample some of the lollipops that the team offered them:

Lollipops are a nice treat, but know what's even better?
Cookies.

Cohen knew the possible consequences to these snacks, but was willing to take the risk. "Are we gonna put these kids in sugar shock? I mean, their parents have to deal with them for the rest of the evening.
"Unless they're staying with us, in which case, Keith's going to babysit."
We have full confidence in Hernandez's ability to watch kids. After all, he's taken very good care of Hadji.
Now if you'll excuse us, we have some cookies to sample.
