This Mets ballboy had no idea where to go as two players ran toward him

You can sit there watching baseball games and think, "Man, I'd love to be a ballboy or ballgirl, just hanging out on the field and grabbing grounders."

Sounds like fun, right? Nope.

It can be a harrowing job, as the Mets' ballboy positioned along the third-base line found out in Wednesday's game with the Nats. You often see the scramble to grab the stool and get out of the way of approaching fielders chasing a ball. Usually, you know, farther into foul territory, but this was the perfect confluence of angles and multiple players and nowhere to go. Instead, he ran farther into fair territory.

There's a lot going on here. From one angle, Todd Frazier. From another, J.D. Davis. Then, the ballboy and his stool, as he's scurrying out of the way and directly into left field.

Probably not where you'd want to go in that situation, but also the result of being caught in an impossible spot. I'd probably have done the same, unless I just passed out on the field in terror instead.
