Mark Canha channeled his inner Tom Lawless with a triumphant bat flip on his go-ahead homer

Thanks to the 16-strikeout dominance of Mariners starter James Paxton, the A's were held in check for most of Wednesday night. The key was just to wait him out, and sure enough, when he departed in the eighth, Jed Lowrie tied the game with a two-run homer.
The next inning, Mark Canha put the A's in front for good with a solo shot off Edwin Díaz. They went on to win, 3-2, so you can bet that Canha was excited about his homer:

Canha didn't hold onto the bat quite as long as Lawless and his flip didn't go nearly as high, but we'll take what we can get. A strong early-season contender for the best bat flip of 2018!
