The Mariners are commemorating the James Paxton-bald eagle moment with a bobblehead
There have been many cool things happening this baseball season. Shohei Ohtani doing things never done before, rookie relievers throwing 105-mph fastballs and Bartolo Colon catching line drives with his belly.
But one of the more unusual moments of 2018 (and maybe of the last 20 years), happened in early April. An eagle -- a real, living and breathing bald eagle -- landed on James Paxton:
An important moment in American-Canadian relations. To honor the short-lived meeting between bird and man, the Mariners are having, what else, a bobblehead day:
July 1 against the Royals. Be there and, who knows, maybe an eagle will land on your shoulder too.
