Marc Anthony has sold 12 million records. He's won two Grammys, five Latin Grammys, 23 Billboard Latin Music Awards and two American Music Awards. He's a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins and he's had the pleasure of starring in a Denzel Washington movie ("Man on Fire").
The man's got all that under his belt, but clearly the highlight of his career was when he was offered the opportunity to write a song specifically for Astros phenom Carlos Correa to walk up to in 2016.
Anthony was born and raised in New York City, but his parents hailed from Yacao, Puerto Rico, about 35 miles west of the small fishing village Correa grew up in. Correa used Anthony's version of "Preciosa" as his walk-up song during his AL Rookie of the Year Award-winning season in 2015:

So, when the two stars met at Astros Spring Training in Kissimmee, Fla., this week, Correa mentioned that he was looking for a new walk-up song.
"It meant a lot to me," Anthony said. "He said, 'I'm looking for the next one. Like, this season is gonna be the season. I'm lookin' for the next song.' I said, 'Well, why don't I just write you one?'"
Correa didn't hesitate to accept the offer.
"As soon as we saw him we were like little kids. Like, the little kids out there asking for autographs," Correa said. "You know, we wanted to get a picture with him, we wanted to be able to talk to him. He's obviously a great artist and it's always great to talk to guys like that."
It's safe to say the feeling was mutual.
"This is what he was born to do," Anthony added. "I take my hat off to him, and I'm just a massive fan."
