It's no secret that one of the biggest storylines heading into All-Star Week has been where Manny Machado will land with the July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline getting closer and closer. It's possible the Midsummer Classic could be the final time he sports an Orioles uniform. So, where will he be playing in the second half of the season? Well, the shortstop's nephew gave his prediction.
Prior to Monday night's T-Mobile Home Run Derby, Machado stopped by the MLB Network broadcast to answer some questions, and he was joined by his nephew, J.J. After Pedro Martinez, Al Leiter and Greg Amsinger asked the infielder questions about the various trade rumors, Pedro wanted J.J.'s opinion on where he would want to see his uncle playing. His answer was another AL East team:
Machado couldn't help but smile and the entire crew laughed. They also didn't seem too surprised that J.J. wanted to see him in pinstripes.
Do the Orioles take Machado's nephew wishes into consideration when it comes to the next stop in his career? Why not?
