MiLB introduces new fan initiative, 'Es Divertido Ser Un Fan' -- complete with unique jerseys

Minor League Baseball launched a new initiative on Monday to spotlight different fan communities across the game. "Es Divertido Ser Un Fan" (it's fun to be a fan) debuts in August in a few MiLB markets.
So far, Las Vegas, Charlotte, N.C.; Kane County, Ill.; and Visalia, Calif., have started the campaign, which seeks to help clubs better connect with and engage fans in culturally-relevant ways. You can read about each distinctive community and how Minor League Baseball is recognizing the concept here.

"One of the pillars of Minor League Baseball is to create an environment where all individuals feel welcome and included in our ballparks," Minor League Baseball president & CEO Pat O'Conner said to MiLB.com. "It is important to us that our teams are reflective of the communities in which they reside, offering a memorable entertainment experience for all members of those communities."
Fans can share their involvement on social media by using #MiLBEsDivertido and #MiLBIsFun hashtags.
National expansion for "Es Divertido Ser Un Fan" is planned for 2018, and by the looks of the new gear and concept, baseball will welcome it with open arms.
