Glenn Hubbard's snake-draped baseball card will be memorialized as a bobblehead this summer

Take any art history course and there are three things that will definitely be discussed:
- Da Vinci's Mona Lisa
- Warhol's Marilyn Diptych
- Glenn Hubbard's snake baseball card
As any art critic would note, Hubbard took the standard baseball card and elevated it to something else, something higher. The snake added a bit of pulpish danger and intrigue, and was perhaps a comment on society -- the snake always eating the tail. It also looked totally sweet.
Now, finally, it's getting a bobblehead. On June 24, the Lexington Legends, Class A affiliate of the Royals, will be giving away a Glenn Hubbard draped in a snake bobblehead. We can only hope that Hubbard, now the bench coach for the Legends, will be on hand with another snake wrapped around his shoulders for the game.
Truly we live in an age of wonders.
