Kelly Johnson looked to impress the USMNT with excellent first touch on a kicked grounder

Kelly Johnson has apparently caught Copa América Centenario fever. With the soccer tournament featuring 16 North and South American nations currently being held in the United States, Johnson decided now was the time to show off his futbol skills. When Wil Myers hit a grounder in the fifth inning of the Padres' 7-2 victory against the Braves on Tuesday, Johnson went feet first. 
It's smart timing. With the USMNT having lost their first game of the tournament to Colombia, 2-0, certainly U.S. manager Jurgen Klinsmann could be looking for midfield help, right? 

Unfortunately for Johnson, while his first touch isn't half bad, not only are the tournament's rosters locked, but I doubt the soccer federation would sign a player after just one play -- no matter how many dance remixes skills videos are made.
