A KBO player pulled off a straight steal of home and the announcers lost their minds
Baseball doesn't get much better than a straight steal of home -- a few seconds of pure, white-knuckle suspense so startlingly brash it's as if the runner managed to put one over on the Baseball Gods. It's an increasingly rare achievement, responsible for some of the game's most iconic moments.
So, while it's still Spring Training in the KBO, when Lee Dong-Hoon of the Hanwha Eagles swiped home it was only appropriate that the broadcast team completely lost its mind:
If only the pitcher had learned the one foolproof way to foil any attempt to steal home: Just throw the ball at the batter.
